You Never Cease To Amaze Me Bud

I forever have been wanting to get featured in the HTTYD fan Spotlight. 
My last painting of Toothless they did ask for permission to use it to be featured but it sadly never happened. So, I went with a different approach to doing one of the most touching scenes in the latest movie HTTYD2. 

I lost track at the amount of hours this took to get done.
The difficulties:

1. Never painted a human, EVER. I have drawn but never painted.
2. Limited colors on paint! I don't have a paint tube of skin color so I had to constantly mix which caused a lot of trouble. And only one dark tube of brown..had to actually use a watercolor brown because it was my only lighter color.
3. The shadows by Hiccup's eye..omg there are sooo many layers of paint there just trying to make it look like he didn't have a black eye.
4. There are proportions that came out wrong, and by the time I noticed it was way too late to change..oh well.
5. School, work and classes..had to do this in between all that

And many more...all in all a pain in my butt.
But I adore this movie, I adore HTTYD and I hope this proves it in a way.

If this does get featured, I'll be ecstatic and cry and it will be proudly hung up in my future bedroom.
If this does NOT, it's for sale.
